Efflux pump research / Biofilm research
2-Phenylacetophenone has been reported to act as an inhibitor of efflux pump in Escherichia coli, Mycobacterium smegmatis, M. aurum, and M. bovis.1) In addition, this compound was shown to inhibit biofilm formation in M. smegmatis.
