Company name changed to Tokyo Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. The business specializes in manufacturing and marketing organic laboratory chemicals.

Fukaya factory is inaugurated to expand production capacity.

American Tokyo Kasei Inc. (now TCI America) is established in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A., to improve customer service in that country.
