Description

• DBC30 is a small compound that emits strong fluorescence in hydrophobic environment. It can dye clearly not only cellular lipid droplets but also tissue lipid droplets. It can be used in combination with multiple fluorescent dyes.
  This product was developed by Dr. Toshitada Yoshihara.

Direction for Use

• 1. Dilute DBC30 solution to 40 μg/mL (100 μM) with DMSO, then dilute to 40 ng/mL (100 nM) with medium such as DMEM.
  2. Remove culture medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
  3. Add 100 nM DBC30-containing medium to cells.
  4. Incubate cells at 37 °C for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
  6. Observe stained lipid droplets.

Directions for Use: Normal or fatty liver mouse imaging

• 1. Dilute DBC30 solution to 200 μg/mL (500 μM) with saline containing 10% BSA.
  2. Inject the 100 µL of 500 µM DBC30 stock solution into the tail vein of an eight-week-old mouse under anesthesia 15 minutes before the fluorescence imaging experiment.
  3. Expose the liver of the mouse and observe it.

Storage

• Store at -20 °C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
