Application
A Condensing Agent
Experimental procedure: to a solution of 1 (15.0 g, 44.5 mmol) in DMF (75 mL) are added 2 (6.9 mL, 44.5 mmol), 4-ethylmorpholine (22.6 mL, 178 mmol), and TOTU (14.6 g, 44.5 mmol). After stirring for 12 h, the solution is diluted with ethyl acetate and subsequently washed with aqueous LiCl (4% w/w) and saturated aqueous NaHCO3. The crude product 3 (20.9 g, 99%) obtained after evaporation of the solvent is directly subjected to the next reaction without further purification.
