Ginsenoside Rg1: A Bioactive Triterpene Saponin (Ginsenoiside)
Roots of Panax ginseng is one of the most famous medicinal plants, and contains various phytosterols and bioactive triterpene saponins (ginsenoisides). Ginsenoside Rg1 is one of the triterpene saponin, and reportedly has diverse effects, including antioxydative, anticancer, neuroprotective, and anti-inflammatory actions.
