Application
Tiamulin Fumarate: A Pleuromutilin Class Antimicrobial Agent Against Mycoplasma

Tiamulin fumarate, a semisynthetic antimicrobial agent belonging to the pleuromutilin class, is used specifically for treating animals. It is characterized by its potent activity against mycoplasma, as well as Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, in pigs, cattle, sheep, and other poultry. Studies have shown that pleuromutilins bind to domain V of 23S RNA in the ribosomes of pathogenic microorganisms, inhibiting peptidyl transferase and protein synthesis. This results in the death of the microorganisms, exerting antibacterial activity. (The product is for research use only.)
