Tyrphostin AG1478 (1) is an inhibitor of protein tyrosine kinase and is highly selective for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).1) 1 can inhibit EGFR with IC50 of 3 nM, while the IC50s for other kinases are higher as shown in the Table.1) It was reported that the combination of 1 with cytostatic drugs, Cisplatin or Paclitaxel, induces a synergistic effect of growth inhibition of endometrial cancer cells.2)
