Description

• Xanthine oxidase is an enzyme involved in purine metabolism, playing a pivotal role in the conversion of purine bases, such as xanthine and hypoxanthine, into uric acid. Dysregulation of xanthine oxidase activity has been associated with various pathological conditions, including gout, hyperuricemia, and oxidative stress-related diseases.
  The Xanthine Oxidase (XO) Activity Assay Kit provides a comprehensive solution for the accurate quantification of xanthine oxidase enzyme activity to assess xanthine oxidase activity in biological samples from cell culture supernatant. H₂O₂ produced by xanthine oxidase reacts with ADHP (10-acetyl-3,7-dihydroxyphenoxazine) can produce the highly fluorescent compound resorufin, which can be analyzed with an excitation wavelength of 520-550 nm and an emission wavelength of 585-595 nm.
