Ginkgolide A: A Biologically Active Diterpenoid from Ginkgo biloba Leaves
Ginkgolide A, a biologically active diterpenoid, is one of the major ginkgolides which are the main components in Ginkgo biloba leaf extracts which has been used in traditional medicine. The structures were elucidated in the 1960s by Nakanishi et al. Ginkgolides, including ginkgolide A, have been reported their effects of anti-platelet aggregation, cardioprotective, anti-oxidant, neuroprotective, antistress and so on. (The product is for research purpose only.)
