(+)-α-Pinene: A Bicyclic Monoterpene with Diverse Biological Activities
α-Pinenes ((+)-α-pinene and (-)-α-pinene [P0440]) are bicyclic monoterpenes found in pine trees and many other conifers, with diverse biological activities.1,2) It has been reported that (+)-α-pinene a potent human cytochrome P450 2B6 inhibitor.3) In addition, α-pinenes are used for the synthesis of chiral cyclic compounds.4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
