Application
DMDBS: The Third Generation of Sorbitol Based Nucleating Agent
1,3:2,4-Bis-O-(3,4-dimethylbenzylidene)-D-sorbitol, often called “DMDBS”, is the third generation of sorbitol based nucleating agent which is often used in semi-crystalline polymers which crystallize slowly to increase the rate of crystallization. The addition of DMDSB can decrease the opacity of the polymer, and cause the improvement of mechanical properties.
