Application
Carteolol Hydrochloride: A Nonselective β-Adrenoceptor Antagonist (Blocker)
Carteolol hydrochloride (OPC-1085) is a nonselective β-adrenoceptor antagonist (blocker) with intrinsic sympathomimetic activity (ISA). Carteolol effectively reduces intraocular pressure (IOP), and is used for the treatment of glaucoma. Recently, some formulations for ocular controlled delivery of carteolol hydrochloride have been developed. (The product is for research purpose only.)
