Description

This product is supplied as a ready-to-use solution containing 4-Chloro-1-naphthol (4-CN) and hydrogen peroxide for use in the visualization of membrane-bound horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibodies in western blotting. When this product reacts with HRP, a blue-purple precipitate is formed.

Directions for Use

1. : Allow HRP-conjugated antibody to bind membrane-bound protein of interest.

2. : Apply a thin layer of 4-CN solution (Product No. C3384) to the membrane via pipette and incubate until color appears.

3. : After bands appear, add deionized water to dilute 4-CN solution and stop color development.
