Cefuroxime axetil is a prodrug of cefuroxime sodium [C3747], which has a broad spectrum of in antibacterial activity. It is an oral cephalosporin that is rapidly hydrolyzed to the active metabolite, cefuroxime, by esterases of mucosal cells in the gastrointestinal tract. (The product is for research purpose only.)
