Application
Axitinib: A Potent and Selective Inhibitor of VEGFR Tyrosine Kinases -1, -2, and -3
Axitinib (AG-013736), a small molecule indazole derivative, is an oral, potent tyrosine kinase receptor inhibitor, which selectively inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR)-1, -2, and -3. These receptors are implicated in pathologic angiogenesis, tumor growth, and cancer progression. Axitinib is shown to inhibit cellular autophosphorylation of VEGF receptors and tumor growth. (The product is for research purpose only.)
