Description

• Exosomes are vesicles of 30-200 nm in diameter secreted by almost all cell types. They contain biologically important molecules (lipids, proteins, mRNAs, miRNAs) and are involved in many physiological and pathological processes. This product can be used to easily isolate exosomes from serum. Isolated exosomes can be used in downstream analyses.

Directions for Use

• 1. Centrifuge serum sample at 3,000 x g for 15 minutes at 4°C.
  2. Transfer the supernatant containing clarified serum to a new tube.
  3. Add Exosome Isolation Reagent [for Serum] to the serum and mix via pipetting until homogeneous. Use 20 μL of reagent per 100 μL serum.
  4. Incubate at 4 °C for 30 minutes.
  5. Centrifuge at 10,000 x g for 10 minutes at 4 °C.
  6. Remove the supernatant carefully without disturbing the pellet (containing exosomes).
  7. Resuspend pellet in 1x PBS or another specific buffer. Use 25-50 μL of buffer per 100 μL of starting serum.
  8. Exosomes are now ready to be used in further experiments.

Storage

• Store at 4 °C and use within 6 months.
