Application
(R)-Baclofen: The Active Enantiomer of a GABAB Receptor Agonist, Baclofen
(R)-Baclofen (l-baclofen or STX209) is the more active enantiomer of racemic baclofen [B3343] which is a γ-amino butyric acid type B (GABAB) receptor agonist. Baclofen is a muscle relaxant and antispastic, but the precise mechanism of action of baclofen is not fully understood. However, baclofen is a structural analog of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, and may exert its effects by stimulating of the GABAB receptor subtype. (The product is for research purpose only.)
