Bisindolylmaleimide I: A Potent, Selective and Competitive Inhibitor of Protein Kinase C (PKC)
Protein kinase C (PKC) isoforms, a family of serine/threonine protein kinases, are thought to mediate numerous signal transduction processes including the control of cell growth, differentiation and homeostasis. Bisindolylmaleimide I (GF 109203X) a potent, selective and competitive inhibitor of PKC isoforms.1-3) Bisindolylmaleimide I (GF 109203X) also inhibits LRRK2 (Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2) –G2019S that is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
