Cilastatin Sodium: A Dehydropeptidase-I Inhibitor
Cilastatin sodium is a dehydropeptidase-I inhibitor that prevents renal metabolism and increases urinary excretion of bioactive agents, such as imipenem. Therefore, cilastatin sodium is often used in combination with imipenem. (The product is for research purpose only.)
