Diisopropylamine Dichloroacetate: An Active Component of Pangamic Acid (Once Called "Vitamin B15")
Diisopropylamine dichloroacetate (abbrev.: DADA or DIPA) is an active component of pangamic acid (once called "vitamin B15") which was first isolated from apricot seeds by Krebs et al. in 1951. In 1958, Casu et al. revealed that pangamic acid is a mixture of DADA, sodium gluconate [G0041] and glycine [G0099]. And then, DADA has received attention for its pharmacologic and therapeutic effects, especially on hepatic function. (The product is for research purpose only.)
