Laquinimod: An Orally Active Immunomodulatory Agent
Laquinimod (ABR-215062) is an orally active immunomodulatory agent. Laquinimod exerts beneficial activities both on the peripheral immune system and within the central nervous system (CNS). The mechanism of action of laquinimod remains to be fully elucidated because the molecular target is not known, but current knowledge indicates that it inhibits lymphocyte and macrophage entry into the CNS. (The product is for research purpose only.)
