Dorsomorphin: A Selective Inhibitor of Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) Signaling
Dorsomorphin is a selective inhibitor of Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling. BMPs are multi-functional growth factors that belong to the transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) superfamily. Therefore, it is considered that BMP signals have essential physiological roles in mature organisms. Recent studies on dorsomorphin as a BMP inhibitor show its application of in the field such as osteogenesis, developmental patterning and iron homeostasis.
