Description

• Western Blot Stripping Buffer is a reagent used for removing antibodies from membranes that detects chemiluminescence in Western blotting. After chemiluminescent detection, membranes treated with Stripping Buffer can be reused for antibody concentration studies or for re-detection with a different primary antibody. The Stripping Buffer is useful for saving samples and shortening the experiment time.
  Note: Dissolve the precipitation at 25-30 °C, if precipitation occurs during storage. The Stripping Buffer is acidic and corrosive. Please wear protective equipment when using it. Metal tweezers and trays should not be used with the Stripping Buffer.

Storage

• Store at room temperature.

Direction for Use

• 1. After detecting chemiluminescence, wash the membrane twice for 10 minutes with TBS-T or PBS-T buffer.
  2. Incubate the membrane with the Stripping Buffer for 30 minutes at room temperature.
     Note: Depending on the affinity between the antigen and the antibody, the antibody may not be completely removed from the membrane.Perform blocking and antigen-antibody reaction again.
  3. Use a sufficient volume of the Stripping Buffer to ensure that the membrane is completely submerged.
  4. Wash the membrane three times for 10 minutes each with TBS-T or PBS-T buffer.
