Application
Diclazuril: A Triazinone Anticoccidial Agent
Diclazuril is a triazinone anticoccidial that has activity against Isospora species, Toxoplasma gondii, and Eimeria species. Diclazuril is a prodrug and metabolized to form the active metabolite, toltrazuril sulfone found in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. Although the exact mechanism of action is not entirely known, diclazuril would exert its anticoccidial effect by inhibiting merozoite production. (The product is for research purpose only.)
