Application
Blonanserin: An Antagonist at Dopamine D2 and Serotonin 5-HT2A Receptors
Blonanserin (AD-5423) is an atypical antipsychotic agent having the properties of both a serotonin 5-HT2A and a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. Blonanserin differs from mainly used serotonin 5-HT2A/dopamine-D2 receptor antagonists (eg: risperidone [R0087] and olanzapine [O0393]) in that it exhibits higher affinity for dopamine-D2 receptors than for serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. (The product is for research purpose only.)
