Spore Germination Inhibitor
L-Cysteine (C0515) is one of the amino acids known as a bacterial spore germinant.1) It has been reported that D-cysteine failed to induce germination of Clostridium sporogenes or C. botulinum spores, but prevented germination induced by L-cysteine.2)
