Application
beta-Stereoselective synthesis of an 2’-fluoro-5-ethylarabinouridine derivative with silylated 5-ethyluracil
Typical procedure (synthesis of 2,4-bis-O-(trimethylsilyl)-5-ethyluracil): A suspension of 5-ethyluacil (0.408 mol), hexamethyldisilazane (0.457 mol), ammonium sulfate (0.037 mol), and 1.45 L of CH3CN is stirred at reflux 3h. The solution is evaporated under reduce pressure to an oil which can be used without further treatment.
