			1-Methylpseudouridine (m1Ψ): A Non-Natural Pyrimidine Nucleoside Found in mRNA Vaccines
		
		In recent years, numerous studies have demonstrated the outstanding abilities of mRNA to elicit potent immune, making it a viable new platform for vaccine development1).  Additionally there are reports on incorporation of modified nucleobases into mRNA offering advantages for the generation of potent and long-lived antibody responses.  In protein biosynthesis, 1-methylpseudouridine (m1Ψ) and pseudouridine (Ψ) [P2939 (synthetic)] [P2396] are read like uridine (U) and enable comparatively high protein yields.  Furthermore, m1Ψ enhances immune evasion, protein production, and consequently vaccine efficacy.2-4)
