Toepassing
Dimetridazole: A Nitroimidazole Antibiotic Used to Treat of Livestock Diseases
1,2-Dimethyl-5-nitroimidazole (dimetridazole) is a synthetic nitroimidazole antibiotic such as azomycin [N0891] and metronidazole [M0924]. Dimetridazole also has antiparasitic activity and is useful in the treatment of livestock diseases such as histomoniasis in poultry, enterohepatitis in turkeys and dysentery in swine. Therefore, the determination of dimetridazole and its hydroxy-metabolites in livestock muscle, plasma and egg have been improved. (The product is for research purpose only.)
