Application
Anastrozole: A Potent and Selective Aromatase Inhibitor
Anastrozole is a third generation, and a potent and selective aromatase inhibitor. Aromatase is responsible enzyme for the aromatization of androgens into estrogens in the periphery. Anastrozole inhibits aromatase and estrogen synthesis, resulting in suppressing tumor growth. Anastrozole alone or a combination agent with tamoxifen citrate [T2510] is used for the treatment for postmenopausal women with breast cancer. (The product is for research purpose only.)
