Application
Fluorimetric Ion-Pair Reagent
IPA-DAS is utilized in highly sensitive HPLC analysis of samples which have limited fluorescence and absorption and cannot be easily labeled, but are easily ionized. The addition of IPA-DAS to a sample creates a highly fluorescent ion pair post-column allowing for greatly improved detection, and is notably effective with amines. These properties lend applicability to life science research and IPA-DAS is anticipated to be used in the analysis of biocomponents and biological compounds.
