Application
A Useful Chiral Dirhodium(II) Complex Catalyst
Experimental procedure2): the bis(ethyl acetate) adduct of Rh2(S-PTPA)4 (32 mg, 0.021 mmol) is added in one portion to a stirred solution of the 1 (300 mg, 1.04 mmol) in dry dichloromethane (3 mL) at 22 °C under argon atmosphere. After 6 h of stirring at this temperature, the resultant greenish solution is concentrated in vacuo and purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate = 3:1) to give 2 (yield 97%, 60% ee).
