Zanamivir: A Selective Inhibitor of Influenza Virus Neuraminidase
Zanamivir, a sialic acid analog, is a selective inhibitor of influenza virus neuraminidase which is an enzyme that releases viral particles from the plasma membrane of infected cells and promotes virus spread in the respiratory tract. Therefore, zanamivir inhibits the growth of influenza A and B viruses. (The product is for research purpose only.)
