Application
Disopyramide: A Class 1a Antiarrhythmic Agent
Disopyramide is a class 1a antiarrhythmic agent which interferes both with the sodium (Na+) and potassium (K+) channels, with a pharmacological profile of action similar to that of quinidine [Q0006]. Disopyramide inhibits the fast inward sodium current, and depresses the conduction velocity. Consequently, disopyramide decreases myocardial excitability. In addition, disopyramide has anticholinergic properties. (The product is for research purpose only.)
