Application
Parthenolide: A Sesquiterpene Lactone with Potent Anticancer and Anti-Inflammatory Activities
Parthenolide, a sesquiterpene lactone, is originally isolated from the shoots of feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) which is a traditional medical plant used commonly to prevent migraine headaches. Parthenolide has been reported to show potent anticancer and anti-inflammatory activities. For example, parthenolide inhibits the transcription factor NF-κB, and induces apoptosis of human acute myelogenous leukemia stem and progenitor cells. (The product is for research purpose only.)
