- Product Form : DMSO solution
- Excitation / Emission : 610 nm / 661 nm (in Dibutyl Ether)
Description
- BPMP-4Thia is a small compound that emits strong fluorescence in hydrophobic environment. It can dye clearly not only cellular lipid droplets but also tissue lipid droplets. It can be used in combination with multiple fluorescent dyes.
- This product was developed by Dr. Toshitada Yoshihara.
Direction for Use
-
Lipid cell imaging
- Dilute BPMP-4Thia solution 5-fold with DMSO, then dilute it 2000-fold with medium such as DMEM.
- Remove culture medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
- Add BPMP-4Thia-containing medium to cells.
- Incubate cells at 37 °C for 30 minutes.
- Remove medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
- Observe stained lipid droplets.
-
Normal or fatty liver mouse imaging
- Dilute BPMP-4Thia solution 10-fold with saline containing 10% BSA.
- Inject the 100 µL of BPMP-4Thia stock solution into the tail vein of eight-week-old mouse under anesthesia 15 minutes before the fluorescence imaging experiment.
- Expose the liver of the mouse and observe it.
Storage
- Store at −20 °C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
