AM580: A Retinoic Acid Receptor-α (RARα)-Selective Agonist
AM580, a stable retinobenzoic acid derivative, is a retinoic acid receptor-α (RARα)-selective agonist. Retinoids regulate a wide variety of essential biological processes. RARα is a member of retinoic acid receptors (RARs) which act as ligand-activated transcription factors controlling the expression of a number of target genes. It is reported that AM580 promotes the reprogramming of somatic cells to induced pluripotent stem cells and inhibits tumor cell proliferation. (The product is for research purpose only.)
