TDZD-8: An ATP Noncompetitive GSK-3β Inhibitor
Thiadiazolidinone-8 (TDZD-8) is an ATP noncompetitive glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK-3β) inhibitor (IC50=2 µM). TDZD-8 is selective against GSK-3β, and has minimal inhibitory effect observed on cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), casein kinase II, protein kinase A (PKA). However, it is also reported that TDZD-8 can inhibit the protein kinase C (PKC). Besides, it is reported that TDZD-8 has anti-leukemia activity in leukemia cells, and effects against Alzheimer's disease. (The product is for research purpose only.)
