Application
Cefazolin Sodium: A First-Generation Cephalosporin Antibiotic
Cefazolin sodium is a first-generation semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic, which is chemically synthesized form 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) [A1266], has been used worldwide since the early 1970s. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Recently, it has been reported it as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in hydrochloric acid solution.
