A 922500: A Potent and Selective Inhibitor of Diacylglycerol Acyltransferase 1 (DGAT-1)
Diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT-1) is one of two known DGAT enzymes that catalyze the final and only committed step in triacylglycerol (TAG) biosynthesis, and play a critical role in formation of lipid droplets (LDs) in the liver. Therefore, DGAT-1 could play a role in the development of obesity and insulin resistance.1,2) A 922500 is a potent and selective inhibitor of DAGT-1 activity, inhibiting both human and mouse forms of the enzymes.1,3,4) In addition, there is a report that A 922500 significantly inhibited SARS-CoV-2 replication as well as reduced production of mediators pro- inflammatory response.5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
