Application
Catalytic Formylation Using Indoline

Experimental procedure:
Alkenylboronic acids (0.12 mmol, 1.2 eq.) and glyoxylic acid monohydrate (0.1 mmol, 1.0 eq., 9.2 mg) are placed in a flask. Acetonitrile (1.0 mL) is injected into the vial and then indoline (0.03 mmol, 3.4 µL) is added. The mixture is stirred at room temperature for 24 h exposed to air. After stirred for 24 h, the residue is purified by column chromatography (SiO2, hexanes:EtOAc) to provide the corresponding compounds.
