Cyproterone Acetate: A Synthetic Progestogen with Antiandrogenic Activity
Cyproterone acetate is a synthetic progestogen, which have antiandrogenic activity. It acts mainly by blocking androgen receptors, but also reduces the activity of skin 5α-reductase in sebaceous glands and hair follicles. It is primarily used in the treatment of androgen-related conditions such as acne, androgen dependent alopecia and prostate cancer. (The product is for research purpose only.)
