Application
Methylprednisolone Acetate: A Prodrug of 6α-Methylprednisolone
Methylprednisolone acetate is the acetate ester of a synthetic glucocorticoid receptor agonist, 6α-methylprednisolone [M1665], with immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory effects. Methylprednisolone acetate is converted into the active metabolite 6α-methylprednisolone in the body, which activates glucocorticoid receptor mediated gene expression. (The product is for research purpose only.)
