Application
A Broad-Spectrum Fluoroquinolone Antibacterial Agent, Prulifloxacin
Prulifloxacin (PUFX), the prodrug of ulifloxacin (NM394), is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. After absorption, prulifloxacin is metabolized by esterases to ulifloxacin. Ulifloxacin, the active form of prulifloxacin, is generally more active than other fluoroquinolones against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
