			Sodium Picosulfate: A Reagent Used as a Stimulant Laxative
		
		Sodium picosulfate works by encouraging the muscles in the bowel to move waste products. In addition, it inhibits the absorption of water and electrolytes in the bowel. It is used as a laxative and a colorectal cleansing agent.
