BGP-15: A PARP Inhibitor and an Insulin Sensitizer
Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) is a family of enzymes involved in a number of cellular processes such as DNA repair, genomic stability, and apoptosis.1) BGP-15 has been used in cancer research because of its PARP inhibition.2) In addition, BGP-15 has recently reported as a pharmacological inducer of heat shock protein 72 (HSP72) and a new insulin sensitizer agent candidate.3,4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
