Dexmedetomidine Hydrochloride: A Potent and Selective α2-Adrenoceptor Agonist
Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is a potent α2-adrenoceptor agonist, which produces and analgesia, about 8 times higher selective affinity for the α2/α1-adrenoceptor than clonidine [D1353]. Dexmedetomidine also binds to imidazoline receptors, based on the imidazole group. (The product is for research purpose only.)
