Product Information

Description

DBC30 is a small compound that emit strong fluorescence in hydrophobic environment. It can dye clearly not only cellular lipid droplets but also tissue lipid droplets. It can be used in combination with multiple fluorescent dyes.
This product was developed by Dr. Toshitada Yoshihara.

Storage

Store at -20 °C and protect from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Directions for Use: Lipid cell imagin

1. Dilute DBC30 solution to 40 μg/mL (100 μM) with DMSO, then dilute to 40 ng/mL(100 nM) with medium such as DMEM.
2. Remove culture medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
3. Add 100 nM DBC30-containing medium to cells.
4. Incubate cells at 37 °C for 30 min.
5. Remove medium and wash cells twice with PBS.
6. Observe stained lipid droplets.

Directions for Use: Normal or fatty liver mouse imaging

1. Dilute DBC30 solution to 200 μg/mL (500 μM) with saline containing 10% BSA.
2. The 100 µL of 500 µM DBC30 stock solution is injected into the tail vein of eight-week-old mouse under anesthesia (40 mg/kg) 15 min before the fluorescence imaging experiment.
3. The liver of the mouse is exposed and observe it.
