A Potent Anti-Myeloma, Anti-Inflammatory and Immunomodulatory Agent, Pomalicomide
Pomalidomide (CC-4047), a thalidomide analog, is an immunomodulatory agent with numerous effects on the body's immune system, and has potent anti-myeloma and anti-inflammatory activities in vitro and in vivo. Pomalidomide inhibits the cytokines tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukins (IL) 1β, 6, 12, and granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF).
