Stable Isothiocyanating Reagent with Ease of Handling
Experimental procedure:
To a solution of 300 mg (0.62 mmol) of 1 in of dichloromethane (20 mL) is added 150 mg (0.64 mmol) of 1,1’-thiocarbonyldi-2(1H)-pyridone, and the resulting solution is stirred at room temperature for 6 h. The solvent is concentrated and the product chromatographed in EtOAC:hexanes (1:1) to give 290 mg of the product 2 (88%).
